Celebrate the Power of Women 2009
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Our ladies-only event in support of The Redwood - a safe haven for women and children,
has come and gone. What a great evening it was! In addition to Stoned Originals Jewelry,
attendees were also able to shop for gorgeous accessories from Stuff Limited as well as
luxurious Bio-Swiss Organic skin care products from The Spa Boutique.
Heartfelt thanks to both companies for helping to make this party truly special. The evening
was filled with positive energy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves! Of course,
every great party needs
a little wine and some great nibbles and for that we thank the wonderful people at Euro
Vintage Wine & Spirits and Santa Alicia Vineyards for donating the wine for
the evening.
We’d also like to thank Dan and his staff at the Empire Lounge at 50 Cumberland St. in
Yorkville for allowing us to hold the event there again this year....the food was fab
and the service, excellent, as usual!
Special thanks go out to our contributors for their
donations....Dolce Publishing, Mirvish Productions, Extreme Fitness, Rawley Resort & Marina,
P&G Beauty, Civello, Umbra and Anarres Natural Health. Fun moments from the evening were
captured on film by our photographer extraordinaire....Leonard Oyama, thank you Leonard.
Every great party needs a little glamour and excitement too and for that we thank
our friends at Citytv for their unwavering support! Not only did Dina Pugliese
mention our event on Breakfast Television (thanks Dina!) the party was also covered
on the 11pm news that night. Attendees were also delighted to see Anne Mroczkowski,
Tracy Moore, Cynthia Mulligan, Laura DiBattista and others from Citytv who dropped
in to shop and support The Redwood....thanks ladies! Thanks to Katie Starke, Miss
Teen Canada-World and Tish Iceton from CHFI, for dropping in!
Thanks to our
volunteers for their time and enthusiasm...we couldn’t have done it without you!
Thanks to our customers and friends, who blogged, twittered, etc to help spread
the word about the event.
And last but not least, if you made it out to the party,
we’d like to thank you for being a part of this very special evening! Your support
was so greatly appreciated; we hope you had fun! If by some chance you regret not
having picked up a certain item at the party, most of the jewelry can already be
purchased online; the rest of the pieces will be available for your shopping pleasure
very soon, so stop by often....

Held at various locations including The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, and Toronto’s Rosewater Supper Club and The Empire Restaurant

informal and relaxed environment. Friends reconnecting. New friendships being born. Women Empowering
Women.

but we now offer other accessories too...all the more fun to get
out and shop for a good cause!

what to wear...
Stoned Originals teamed up with one of our favourite clothing boutiques in the Toronto area, Freda’s
for a special night of fashion and shopping.
Thanks to everyone who came out on that rainy night for a little wine, hors d’oeuvres, a great fashion show, and
some shopping. A portion of the evening’s sales went to the local women’s shelter we
support, The Redwood.
radio promotions...
Terri Michael - Stoned Originals was thrilled to partner with radio stations Q92 in Montreal and
Country 105 in Calgary in our quest to raise awareness and/or funds for two women’s shelters in
these cities….the Auberge Madeleine shelter in Montreal and the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter.
Each station received $3450 worth of Stoned Originals jewelry and each found a creative way for
listeners to win the jewelry in the week leading up to Mother’s Day and help their city’s
respective shelters at the same time. Many thanks to all involved!
other charitable involvement...
Terri Michael - Stoned Originals is proud to have donated jewelry to the following organizations in
their efforts to raise funds...The United Way, the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, Fashion Cares,
Habitat for Humanity Toronto, Chicago Abused Women Coalition, Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association,
Jam Production’s Curvy Catwalk fundraiser for Sheena’s Place, the
Winter Palace Ball in support of Ruskoka Camp, The Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter, Sanctuary for
